Bravery Exemplified in Custom Military Patches

Custom military patches mean so much. Men in uniform are admired for their patriotism, bravery and courage. No other field or profession is able to require its members to give and offer their lives to mankind and their country. Thus, it is just natural for these men to take pride in what they do and what they have experienced. This same pride is exhibited in wearing their military patches.

Among servicemen, the wearing of custom military patches is very common. Each branch has its own unique patch to boast of. Thus, whether you are in the Navy or with the Army, there is always a patch that corresponds to your branch of the armed forces. Even non-military personnel can take their pick from a variety of military patches.

These custom military patches embody an officer’s sense of pride. Of course, they are recognized for their heroism and valor, but that alone is not enough to compensate for the bravery that they have exhibited. Thus, only those who deserve to be called heroes have the right to own such patches. Besides, seeing one in a similar patch is worthy of admiration.

Over the years, military patches have undergone numerous changes. Most of these design innovations were implemented to complement the needs of the times. Likewise, they are also based on the prevailing operations. One classic example is the Operation Desert Storm patch. Custom military patches in the Army are usually green. However, when this operation kicked off and men were issued brown camouflage uniforms, the patches also had to go along with the entire brown motif. Similarly, other branches of the military have also caught onto the trend. In fact, the Air Force had some changes done to theirs during World War II.

Just as there were changes in the designs, the materials used also underwent changes of their own. Usually, custom military patches are embroidered. However, there are now patches made of soft PVC labels. They are highly resistant to any unfavorable weather conditions. They also last a long time.

To a retired officer, military patches can conjure up memories that are both good and bad. Meanwhile, to those on active duty, these patches serve as an inspiration.
